Launching their Anthology on Thursday Oct 5th

Blakes of The Hollow 8pm. FREE

Fermanagh Writers are delighted to be working collaboratively with FLive Festival again this year. FLive produces a wide-ranging program of events from across the whole spectrum of the arts, presented in innovative ways, utilising a variety of public and private spaces as venues.

This year sees the launch of Fermanagh Writers 4th Anthology of poetry, memoir and prose on the theme of 'Remembering and Forgetting'. We are thrilled to be working once more with the Festival, to present an evening of live readings by the local authors from that collection, as part of the Festival Program. FLive presents a wonderful opportunity to showcase our Launch, providing an unmissable evening of entertainment. Fermanagh Writers are grateful to this year's organisers for this opportunity, and also for their continued hard work and dedication to the arts, here in Fermanagh and surrounds.

The Fermanagh heat of the All Ireland Poetry Slam is being organised this year by “The Thing Itself”, a newly formed showcase outlet for local performance artists, and Fermanagh Writers members will be among those taking part both as performers and helping as organisers. The All Ireland Final will be held in Blakes as part of Flive.

Fermanagh Writers have been involved on a number of previous occasions, from our membership participating in the Dawn to Dusk classic poetry readings, to performances of our own work in the Public Library, the Ardhowen Theatre and the Presbyterian Hall on Queen Elizabeth Road, Enniskillen. This has offered our membership important access to a wider and more diverse audience, attracted by the varied programs of events. Fermanagh Writers have also participated in the organisation of the Festival through the Committee, we would hope to continue that work with FLive.'
